The development of Brandon's first recreation hub is located at 3rd St. and Aberdeen Ave. It is currently under construction and has a target opening date for the end of summer. This project will also serve the function of strengthening the drainage areas in the south end of Brandon. The total cost of the Project is $440,498.00, which includes a $30,000 grant from the Community Places Grant from the Provincial Government. The recreation hub at 3rd and Aberdeen will be a great meeting spot for families, youth, seniors and anyone who wants to be active. Amenities included in the Hub include: Water Spray Pad Beach Volleyball Court Pathway Expansion Washrooms Community Garden Existing Play Structure BMX Park Landscaping Parking Picnic Areas Gazebo Here is a conceptual drawing of what the recreation hub will look like when completed.
